Status of the Commission District 4 Election
City of Miami Commission to Hold Special Election for
District 4
(Miami,
Florida)
- The City of Miami Commission has called an election for the
purpose of filling the vacancy of the Commission
District 4 seat formerly held by Commissioner Tomás
Regalado.
The election will be held concurrently with the City of
Miami General Municipal Election for Mayor and
Commissioners of Districts 3 and 5 scheduled for
November 3, 2009 and the City of Miami Runoff Election
scheduled for November 17, 2009. The City of Miami
precincts included in Commission District 4 are 510,
548, 552, 553, 554, 555, 557, 558, 559, 560, 561, 562,
572, 573, 574, 575, 576, 579 and 994.
Candidate qualifying will
be held at the Office of the City Clerk, Miami City
Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, 33133
starting September 4, 2009 and ending September 19,
2009.
The Office of the City
Clerk is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. and will be open on Saturday September 19,
from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. specifically for candidate
qualifying. We respectfully request of all prospective
candidates to please call, in advance, in order to set
up an appointment time for qualifying as a candidate.

order to vote in the General Municipal Election,
Commission District 4 citizens in Precincts 510, 548,
552, 553, 554, 555, 557, 558, 559, 560, 561, 562, 572,
573, 574, 575, 576, 579 and 994 must be registered on or
before Monday, October 5, 2009.
