This is only
applicable to city residents and if you are
paying at the full $50 per week rate. There
is no discount on the $10 registration fee.
-Parents who pay for 9 weeks of camp
in advance can qualify for a 10% discount on
camp fees. The amount of the money order
should be $415
-
Parents who have more than one child can opt
for a three week payment plan. If you
pay for three weeks at a time, the first
child is charged at $50 per week and each
subsequent child is charged at $40 a week.
Failure to pay for three weeks at a time
would require the remainder of camp weeks to
be at $50 per weekper child rate. For example a
family of 2 would bring for their first
payment $290 ( $160 for the first child and
$130 for the second)
For
parents who feel they can not afford the
summer camp fees.
It is
Department policy to provide youth
general park programs to the
community regardless of economic
status. In order to accommodate
those unable to pay the
full-approved fee for programs, the
Department has a Program Fee
Reduction procedure. The Program Fee
Reduction is applicable for our
youth general park programs (After
School Program and Summer, Winter
and Spring Camps). Program Fee
Reductions do not apply to
Specialized Programs (Tennis, Dance,
Swim Team, etc).
Only City of Miami Residents will be
eligible for Fee Reductions.
Fee Reduction Applicants must attend
the park nearest to their home.
All participants must pay the annual
$10 Registration Fee, which cannot
be waived or reduced.
Any
parent/guardian who requests such a
form will be provided one without
question. The Program Fee Reduction
Application must be completed by the
parent/guardian and submitted to the
facility manager during the
pre-qualification period, prior to
registration. The application must
have a photocopy of support
documents which indicate household
income, number of people in
household, proof of
dependency/custody of child and
proof of City of Miami residency.
□Prior
year income tax return with the
attached W-2, (this satisfies all
aspects of support and if this is
provided will be accepted as the
only proof)
Without the above documentation, a
combination of one or more of the
following will be required to satisfy
the documentation requirements:
□Proof
of unemployment benefits, Social
Security Income, or Supplemental
Security Income
