The City of Miami Purchasing Department host
or are part of certain events and activities
throughout the year that should be “Of Interest”
to the supplier community, citizenry, general
public and other government agencies. Some of
these events are the Purchasing Department’s
Annual Purchasing Information Exchange (P.I.E.)
Session; trade shows held by our partners, the
National Institute
of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and
chapters, the
Greater
Miami Chapter of NIGP and Southeast
Florida Chapter of NIGP; and, the
Florida
Association of Public Purchasing Officers (FAPPO).
There are also events held by other
organizations, such as the
Florida Regional
Minority Business Council (FRMBC), the
U.S. Small
Business Administration (SBA),
Miami-Dade County Department of Business
Development,
Women’s Business Development Center, Inc.
and others that we have partnered with that will
be published on our website
The Purchasing Department also host on-site and
on-line auctions/sales throughout the year.
