I have a street light that's out, I contacted FPL to report this problem and I was told that
I need to contact the City of Miami, Public Works Department?

Yes, you may speak to our street light Engineer, Mr. David Hernandez at (305) 960-2870
in order to resolve this issue.

Who do I call in case if I have an emergency after hours?

I noticed that a tree in my area was trimmed by Public Works, however, the crews did not
trim the top of the tree and it is very tall?

Public Works does not trim/cut the tops of any trees (Hat Racking) as this may cause damage
to the tree. According to the Dade County Ordinance we are only allowed to trim 25% of the tree.

I would like to have a tree removed, do I need a permit?

Yes you do. Please contact Regina Hagger, GIS Developer for Public Works at (305) 416-1200
in order to fill out the application.

6.
There is a tree in the public ROW (Right of Way) that has branches hanging over
into my property, is Public Works responsible for trimming these branches?
|
Public Works does not trim any branches that are hanging over private property,
only in the public ROW (Right of Way). The home owner is responsible for trimming
these and any branches that are hanging over their property.
