ELECTION

The Overtown Advisory Board/Overtown Community Oversight Board (OAB/OCOB) was created to encourage and support historic preservation and provide recommendations to the City Commission regarding all City funded or assisted activities, developments, or improvements within the Overtown area.

An election was scheduled for August 24, 2010 for five (5) available elected member seats on the OAB/OCOB.  The election is now cancelled because five (5) individuals qualified as candidates for the five available seats.  Said candidates, listed below, were unopposed and are thereby declared winners:

Feleshia Burden

Derek Cole

Andrea Copeland

Terrance Cribbs-Lorrant

Reginald Munnings

Pursuant to Miami Code Section 2-105, the City Commission at large must ratify the elected individuals to be appointed as members of the OAB/OCOB.  This item has been placed on the agenda of the September 16, 2010 Commission Meeting.
