MAYOR TOMAS REGALADO AND COMMISIONER MARC SARNOFF HELP KICK OFF NEW EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE IN BRICKELL’S SIMPSON PARK

Event will include silent auction, complimentary refreshments and park naturalist tours

(Miami, FL  May 16, 2011)—Mayor Tomas Regalado and Commissioner Marc D. Sarnoff will join the friends and supporters of Simpson Park, on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 6:30pm at the Brickell Coral Rock House, 55 SW 17 Road, for the launch of an exciting educational initiative that will bring to the residents of the City of Miami the opportunity to learn (educational classes), capture (through paint and photos) and interact (hands on workshops) with the natural resources of Miami’s oldest urban forest.

Fans of biology, ecology, local history and art will have a destination for merging environmental, educational and community interests.   A $5 donation will help support the new educational initiative.

Light refreshments and wine tasting will be donated by local restaurants.
