Kick Off To Summer – Dive In Movies Start This Weekend at Grapeland Water Park

(Miami, FL    June 14, 2011)--City of Miami Parks invites you to go “Over the Hedge” on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 8:00pm, as part of the Dive In movie series at Grapeland Water Park, 1550 NW 37 Avenue.

Parents can mark their calendars for three Dive In Movies, every third Saturday of the Month, from June thru August. The Dive in Movie series is an affordable way for parents to take their kids to do something different – parents and children alike can grab a floating tube and float or swim while watching a movie at Grapeland Water Park. For those who do not want to get wet, lounge chairs will be available deck side for relaxing. The onsite concession stand will have movie favorites – popcorn, pizza, hotdogs and more for sale. The admission for the event is $5 per person and the movie starts at 8pm.

The upcoming series includes – Over the Hedge on June 18, Despicable Me on July 16, and Flushed Away on August 20th. The City of Miami Parks has held this movie series for three years in a row because an event like this can help parents to get out of the house, spend quality time with their kids and take advantage of Miami living because what could be more tropical than swimming and watching a movie?

Grapeland Water Park is the only water park destination within the City of Miami. It offers four pools with onsite activities like sliding, lazy river riding, splash zones and open swim. Grapeland Water Park will be open 7 days a week starting Memorial Day weekend and will open 9.30am – 7pm.
