PUBLIC HEARINGS JULY 19th THROUGH AUGUST 9th

MIAMI, FL (July 11, 2011) –
The City of Miami Department of
Community Development will be conducting public hearings from July 19th
through August 9th 2011, to discuss community needs and
establish priorities for
federally funded activities within the City of Miami during Fiscal
Year 2012-2013,
which runs from April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013. The activities to
be discussed are funded via the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development (U.S. HUD) for grant programs such as Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), Home
Investment Partnerships (HOME), and the Housing Opportunities for
Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program, and are administered by the
Department of Community Development.
These public hearings, which will be held in each of the five City of
Miami districts and two additional locations in metropolitan Miami-Dade
County, will serve to inform the
public, identify the needs of residents, and discuss the distribution of
federal funding for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 to assist low- and
moderate-income persons. City of Miami residents are invited to
attend and comment, and all remarks are noted and recorded. The public
hearings will be held as noted below:
