Car Wash to Benefit Miami Police Athletic League (PAL)

Commission Chairman Wifredo “Willy” Gort Joins Car Wash to Assist in Fundraising Effort

 


(Miami, FL   July 19, 2011)—On Friday July 22, 2011, from 4pm – 9pm, the Miami Police Athletic League, (PAL) will be holding a car wash fundraising event at 2201 Biscayne Boulevard, to help 25 inner city youth, representing PAL Track & Field travel to New Orleans, to compete at the 2011 Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympic Games.  The kids need to raise $15, 695 and are asking the community at large to come out and help them make their dream come true.  The cost of the car wash is $5.

 

Commission Chairman Wifredo “Willy” Gort says he will be there to give the cars a special shine, “We must help these kids go to New Orleans and compete in the Junior Olympics to show their hard training and skills. It is with our support that we can help our youth set goals and keep them safe through the practice of sports.”
