Bike Miami Days

 


(Miami, FL   July 21, 2011)—On Sunday, July 24, 2011, the City of Miami and DowntownMiami.com will join forces again to celebrate Miami’s 115th Birthday, with a day full of activities, history and fun for the whole family, from 10am – 8pm, at Mary Brickell Village, on South Miami Avenue and 9th.  Miami was incorporated in July 28, 1896 and it has the distinction of being one of the few municipalities in the nation founded by women, William and Mary Brickell, and Julia Tuttle, known as the Mother of Miami.

Every year, 100% of the proceeds go towards funding a local worthy cause.  This year’s goal will be the funding for Bike Miami Days 2012, featuring a monthly Bike Miami Day from January – April 2012. 

Bike Miami Days

A Bike Miami Days event will kick off Sunday’s festivities:

Full Route--The Bike Miami Full Route will be in effect from 10am-2pm. This Route stretches from South Miami Avenue and 9th all the way past Segafredos. Throughout this time, cyclist, joggers and people doing the route on foot, will have the opportunity to enjoy long open roads and progressive complimentary tastings and fun along the way.

Condensed Route--From 2pm-8pm the Condensed Route will run from 9th and South Miami Avenue to 10th and South Miami Avenue. The scheduling during this time will be centered along the route.
