City of Miami Gets its Kids Ready For the First Day of School

July 25, 2011)– The City of Miami Office of Mayor
Tomas P. Regalado and The Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET),
Haydee Wheeler, Director will be celebrating the
“Ready, Set and Back to
School We Go! Event on
Friday, July 29, 2011, 10:00am, at Peacock Park, 2820 McFarland
Road, Coconut Grove.
Over 800
City of Miami children from Coconut Grove, Flagami, Little Havana
and the Upper East Side will be treated to fun filled day as well as
educational activities, lunch, and a back pack giveaway.
This event is truly a city wide effort, and the community
support has been remarkable. The
City of Miami Police (Homeland, Bomb Squad, Swat, Motorcycle, Marine
& Bike) Fire (Fire Truck & Rescue Truck) and Parks & Recreation
Departments, the Florida Marlins, and El Zol 95.7 have come together
to create a memorable day for the city’s children.
