(Miami, FL    August 2, 2011) – City of Miami Parks invite residents to come to the Miami Rowing Center, 3601 Rickenbacker Causeway on Sunday, August 7, 2011 from noon till 3pm for Adventure Day, where all of the Miami outdoor fun can be experienced for free.

With the end of summer approaching and children going back to school in a few weeks, parks staff are offering the opportunity for parents and outdoor enthusiasts to come out to the Miami Rowing Center, for kayaking, fishing, beach volleyball, water polo, soccer and more. The activities highlight all of the fun, outdoor opportunities that Miami offers thanks to the Biscayne Bay and weather.

The Miami Rowing Center will be offering in the coming months, kayak rentals, learn-to-swim classes, water polo and water aerobic classes. Additionally, those who attend the event will be able to the tour the Miami Rowing Center and find out about the rental opportunities at the facility, which are ideal for affordable wedding receptions, sporting events and promoters looking for locations with scenic views.

Food vendors will be on site selling lunch and refreshments for those who work up an appetite.
