Mayor Regalado Signs Agreement  With the City of Margherita di Savoia (Italy) Generating Historic Mona Lisa Unveiled Exhibition at Freedom Tower

 

(Miami, FL  September 1, 2011) – For the first time in the US, the City of Miami is host to the Mona Lisa Unveiled exhibition, which documents and compares the various interpretations of the iconic Louvre Museum painting by Italian master, Leonardo da Vinci. The exhibition was presented in partnership with Miami Dade College’s Art Gallery System and co-presented by City of Miami Mayor Tomas P. Regalado and City of Margherita di Savoia (Italy) Mayor Gabriella Carlucci. 

 

On loan from the Museo Ideale Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence, Italy, this exhibition begins with the history of the Mona Lisa and includes works from around the world dating from the 16th Century to modern day. This event has been made possible with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Miami and the Galleria Ca’ d’Oro in Rome and Miami.

The exhibition will be free and open to the public during through October 7th.
