Upcoming Meetings of the Miami City Commission

Special Commission Meeting, a Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting
and 2nd Budget Hearing have been scheduled as follows:
Monday, September 26, 2011
2:00pm-The Special City Commission Meeting of September 14, 2011 was recessed and reconvened on Monday, September 19, 2011 and was recessed again until Monday, September 26, 2011.
Special
City Commission Meeting
The purpose
of this special meeting is to address the current status of
collective bargaining agreements with Miami FOP Lodge 20, AFSCME
871, AFSCME 1907 and IAFF Local 587.
Additionally, this special meeting is to consider and take
such action as the Commission deems to be in the best interest of
the public concerning the City’s Financial Urgency proposals for
modification of the collective bargaining agreement of the Fraternal
Order of Police, Lodge 20, pursuant to the City’s declaration of
Financial Urgency under Florida Statutes Section 447.4095.
No other business shall be conducted outside of that for
which the special meeting is called.

The purpose
of this meeting is to discuss the city’s budget for FY 2011-2012.
State of Florida law requires that all municipalities have a
balanced budget filed with them on or by September 30, 2011.

Commission Meetings will be held at
Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive.
