Disney and ESPN Media Networks and the Latin Builders Association for a
Back-to-School Resource Fair at Grapeland Park

September 22, 2011)—City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and
Commission Chairman Wifredo (Willy) Gort
will join
DIRECTV, Disney, ESPN Media Networks and the Latin Builders
Association to support the Miami community by
giving away 2,500 Disney
Channel and DIRECTV branded backpacks filled with school
supplies at the Back to
School Resource Fair on Saturday, September 24, 2011, 10:00am, at
Grapeland Park, located at 1550 NW 37th Avenue.
Mayor Regalado will be at
the parks grounds at 11:00am for welcoming words to all
participating. “We want
to thank all the sponsors for their generous donation and their
continuous support to the children of Miami.
Their commitment to our community is truly appreciated,”
expressed Mayor Regalado.
The Back
to School Resource Fair will also provide families an opportunity to
receive information on youth programs, mentoring, recreation,
academics, health initiatives and much more.
“Parents
are still struggling through these hard economic times,” said
Commissioner Willy Gort.
“Providing school materials and helping kids be prepared for
classes is a great contribution to these families in need.”
