FREE WORKSHOP FOR PERSONS LOOKING TO BUY AN AFFORDABLE HOME IN LIBERTY CITY

Government subsidies available now to help you buy your own home

(Miami, Florida October 25, 2011)   The Liberty City Community Economic Development Corporation, in conjunction with Bank of America, will be holding a free Homebuyer Workshop on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Hadley Park Community Center, 1350 NW 50 Street, for those persons interested in purchasing an affordable home in Liberty City. Income eligible persons/families could potentially qualify for up to $85,000 in federal subsidies towards the purchase of an eligible primary residence via the City of Miami’s First-time Homebuyer Program.

The workshop will allow interested persons to review what mortgage their household can afford based on their income, how to obtain a mortgage, and what government subsidies are currently available to help them make their purchase. The workshop will also provide information on eligible properties currently for sale in the area including single-family homes where an eligible buyer can potentially need only a $10,000 first mortgage to purchase the property.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling 305.635.2301 or e-mailing eblack@miamigov.com.
