Delou Africa dance Ensemble In Concert At the Little Haiti Cultural Center |

(Miami, Fl April 5, 2011) -Delou Africa Dance Ensemble will present “Wontanara”: Spirit of Dance, Drum, and Music in Unity at the Little Haiti Cultural Center. The production is an exploration of traditional African dance, music and history and will demonstrate the impact of African art forms throughout the Diaspora. This full-length ballet will feature music, song, dance, and folklore. The dance and music will depict passages of life such as: Harvest, Courtship, Adversity, Agriculture, Strength, Celebration, and Spirituality.
Wontanara is a collaborative work created and produced by Delou Africa Dance Ensemble and its musical component Delou Fatala. Wontanara is a Soussou word, spoken in Guinea, West Africa, which means Unity. Delou Africa Dance Ensemble is in its second year of residency at the Little Haiti Cultural Center.
