City of Miami Commissioner Richard P. Dunn II Appeals to the Public with South Florida Family Mourning the Loss of 15 Year Old Boy |

(Miami, FL April 13, 2011)- Miami Commissioner Richard P. Dunn II will join the Polydor-Lemorin family for a press conference today, April 13, 2011, 4:00p.m., at Athalie Range Park (parking lot) located at 525 NW 62nd Street in Miami, to appeal to the community for financial assistance in regard to the loss of their loved one.
Fifteen year old Lukeson Lemorin was killed Friday, April 1, 2011, by an oncoming vehicle on I-95. Lemorin and two of his cousins were heading north on I-95 when their vehicle broke down. While moving their car off the road, Lemorin was fatally struck by an oncoming car. The accident is still under investigation. On Wednesday, April 13, 2011, Commissioner Dunn will stand behind the Polydor-Lemorin family to ask the public for financial support in an effort to help with funeral arrangements. Lemorin’s 21 year old sister Erica McDaniel was left to raise her 15 year old brother, four other siblings and her 1 year old baby after their mother was imprisoned almost two years ago. She was 20 at the time she took over guardianship. The Polydor-Lemorin family resides in the Buena Vista West Neighborhood in District 5. The family is in dire need of financial assistance to bury Lukeson and they are asking the public for assistance.
