
Miami, FL (August 20, 2010) —The film, Oscar’s Cuba is a sixty minute video documentary that tells the story of
Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet, a physician and President of the Lawton Foundation for human rights. Dr. Oscar Elias Biscet is currently imprisoned
in Cuba. The documentary will be shown this Sunday, August 22nd, 2010 at 3:00p.m. at the Manuel Artime Theater located at 900 SW 1 Street, free for residents and for all freedom and human rights loving people. The film is sponsored by Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and City
Commission Vice-Chair Frank Carollo.
Oscar’s Cuba was partly filmed inside Cuba and is written, directed and edited by Jordan Allot. Famed Cuban musician Arturo Sandoval wrote the original score. Doors will open at 1:30pm and the movie will begin at 3:00pm. Tickets are free on a first come first serve basis.
There will be copies of the book Los Niņos de Cuba by Ambassador Armando Valladares, also free for those attending.
