Enjoying a recreational beach club atmosphere, various vendors are invited to attend and present their goods and services. In addition, the beautiful sunset and starry night will include complimentary hors’ d’oeuvres, bird’s eye view helicopter rides, ocean-view catamaran boat tours and much more. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase one of Miami’s best kept natural and recreational secrets for both tourists and the community,” says Guy Forchion, Executive Director of Virginia Key Beach Park Trust. Event sponsors include Give Me Dignity, Playtime Water Sports, 2Taste Catering, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and Global Aviation, The Big Blue & YOU Foundation and many more. GMCVB: The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is a private, not-for-profit sales and marketing organization. It is a private-public partnership with more than 1,000 private business members and four local governments: Miami-Dade, City of Miami Beach, City of Miami and the Village of Bal Harbour. HVKBP: Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP), established on August 1, 1945 as Miami’s ‘Colored Only Beach’ immediately became a spot for social gatherings to tourists and residents who made trips to enjoy amenities such as the carousel, the dancing pavilion or the mini-train that would run through the enormous park. Former City of Miami Commissioner, M. Athalie Range was instrumental, together with the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust, in adding this remarkable landmark to the National Register of Historic Places in June 2002. Now, characterized by a unique and fragile natural environment, the City of Miami’s largest recreational jewel serves as the ultimate recreational location for those who want to bask in the splendor of the sun and ocean.
