
Miami, FL (December 1, 2010 ) City of Miami Mayor Tomas P. Regalado will officially kick-off the first edition of The Miami Sculpture Biennale at a reception taking place on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel located at 100 Chopin Plaza in Downtown Miami. The event will begin at 3:00pm.
The Miami Sculpture Biennale will be open from December 3rd, 2010 through January 15th, 2011. Displaying approximately fifty monumental sculptures along Bayfront Park and Bayside Marketplace. Indoor works will be displayed in the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel.
“This is one of the most important art events that our city has seen in decades", said Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.
Aside from reveling master works of art by some of the biggest names in modern and contemporary sculpture; the Miami Sculpture Biennale will call attention to the importance of art in our everyday lives. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
