
Miami, FL (September 30, 2010 ) —City of Miami, District 5 Commissioner Richard P. Dunn, Blue Ribbon Commission Chairman Larry Handfield,
and distinguished panel members
will join the Miami-Dade State Attorneys’ Office for a public discussion into how police involved shootings are investigated. The meeting will be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 6:00p.m. inside Miami City Hall at 3500 Pan American Drive.

The Blue Ribbon Panel was created by District-5 Commissioner Richard Dunn in the wake of multiple police involved shootings in the community. Chairman Larry Handfield, a local attorney, has requested the State Attorneys’ Office provide details as to how exactly shootings of this nature are investigated.
