
Miami, FL (November 23, 2010 )-City of Miami Manager, Carlos Migoya announced effective today, Tuesday November 23, 2010. Mr. Tony E. Crapp, Jr., will be taking on the position of Deputy City Manager. In his role, Tony will provide oversight of all City Departments with the exception of Public Safety Departments (Fire and Police) and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Programs. In addition, he will supervise and coordinate activities of assigned departments, implement plans programs and actions consistent with that of the City Manager and City Commission.
In addition, effective Tuesday, November 23, 2010, Deputy Chief Luis Cabrera will be Acting Chief of Operations/Assistant City Manager with the following departments under his management; Public Facilities, Community Development, Grants, Parks and Recreation, Solid Waste and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Tony's strong public sector and management background will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise as he assumes his role. Luis brings with him a solid background in both administration and operations along with cost schedule and performance analysis. Both have long standing community ties with strong understanding as to the needs of the City.
