City of Miami to Host Small Business Workshop & Networking Event
Miami, FL (October 7, 2010 ) —The City of Miami will host a small business workshop and networking event on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. at Miami City Hall. To kickoff the event, Mayor Tomas Regalado will be signing a
strategic alliance memorandum with the SBA District Director.
The workshop is designed to relay valuable information on finance options for small business through various micro lenders and SBA programs. Residents and business owners alike are encouraged to take advantage of the information and the opportunity to network.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of the nation.
