The City of Miami is working in partnership with the Flagler District BID and the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) to transform Flagler Street into an iconic, festival-style boulevard with patterned pavers, curbless drains, wider sidewalks featuring railroad-themed streetscapes and enhanced landscaping.
The Downtown Flagler Street project will begin at Biscayne Boulevard, proceeding westward to NW 1st Avenue. The enhanced Flagler Street will deliver an enriched pedestrian experience with expanded sidewalks, outdoor dining, improved lighting, signage, public art and much more.
The newly revamped Flagler Street will be a catalyst for economic growth, with a design that includes utility upgrades, smart city technology and increased connectivity to ignite Miami’s growing tech industry and innovative entrepreneurial endeavors in the city’s core.
